Peterborough Rural crime and information update – 1st to 30th April 2017

Please find enclosed reported crime and incidents of note during the month of April 2017. This report is intended to inform Parish Councils and their communities of issues they should be aware of and will not include incidents such as domestic violence, shoplifting or personal assault for example.

Northborough Ward (crimes and incidents of note) 

  • Northborough, Paradise Ln – 1-7/4/17 – Harassment, alarm or distress – Graffiti painted on Bridge.
  • Maxey, High St – 11-12/4/17 – Criminal Damage – padlock drilled off a shed at location.
  • Deeping Gate, Riverside – 10-11/4/17 – Burglary non dwelling – Garage at side of house.
  • Deeping Gate, Suttons Lane – 13-14/4/17 – TFMV – window smashed whilst parked on drive, and tools stolen from inside van.
  • Deeping Gate, Lincoln Rd – 10/4/17 – Criminal Damage – Vehicle parked outside house has been scratched.

Glinton and Wittering Ward (crimes and incidents of note)

  • Ailsworth, Castor & Ailsworth bypass – 1/4/17 – Criminal Damage – Unknown item thrown at passing car from persons in bushes.
  • Glinton, Rectory Lane – 8/4/17 – Criminal Damage – Front door damaged by person kicking it.
  • Glinton, The Green – 11/4/17 – Theft – Money stolen from collection box inside church.
  • Marholm, Church Walk – 10/4/17 – Theft – Garden furniture stolen from rear garden.
  • Thornhaugh, Meadow Lane – 12-13/4/17 – TFMV – Index plates stolen from veh parked overnight.
  • Thornhaugh, Great North Rd – 15-26/4/17 – Theft – Generator stolen overnight.
  • Wittering, Lale Walk – 1/4/17 – Theft – ring taken from upstairs.
  • Wittering, Lawrence Rd – 4-5/4/17 – Burglary none dwelling – Bike stolen from garage. 

Barnack Ward (crimes and incidents of note reported)

  • Barnack, Millstone Lane – 18/4/17 – Theft – mobile phone stolen from coat hanging on back on chair.
  • Helpston, Nook The – 1-3/4/17 – Theft – garden tools and vehicle accessories.
  • Helpston, West Street – 9-10/4/17 – Business Burglary – forced entry into rear compound.
  • Stamford, Barnack Rd – 4/4/17 – Theft – Electrical cabling stolen. 

Eye and Thorney Ward (crimes and incidents of note reported)

  • Eye, Eyebury Rd – 1/4/17 – Theft – Index plates stolen from Veh parked outside house.
  • Eye, Eyebury Rd – 1-2/4/17 – Burglary none dwelling – Stable block entered and damaged, believe in an attempt to steal generator.
  • Eye, New Rd – 3/4/17 – Burglary dwelling – Rear door forced, 2 bikes stolen.
  • Eye, Little Close – 13-14/4/17 – burglary dwelling – Entry via rear kitchen window, electrical items and jewellery from a safe were taken.
  • Eye, Thorney Rd – 20/4/17 – Theft – unlocked pedal cycle stolen during hours of darkness.
  • Eye, Cleve Pl – 22/4/17 – Criminal damage to a vehicle – rear tyre slashed whilst parked outside house for just over 2 hours.
  • Eye, Hodney Rd – 24/4/17 – Criminal Damage – unknown person have skinned a pet animal in rear garden and placed animal back into its hutch.                                                                                                                                   

Newborough, Borough Fen and Eye Green Ward (crimes and incidents of note reported)

  • Peakirk, Pumping Station – 30/3-5/4/17 – Theft – Wood chipper and a trailer stolen sometime over a 7 day period.
  • Peakirk, Meadow Rd – 17/4/17 – Dwelling Burglary – Entry gained by smashing window, various watches stolen.
