September Rural Crime Report

Peterborough Rural crime and information update – 1st to 30th September 2017

Please find enclosed reported crime and incidents of note during the month of September 2017. This report is intended to inform Parish Councils and their communities of issues they should be aware of and will not include incidents such as domestic violence, shoplifting or personal assault for example.

Northborough Ward (crimes and incidents of note)

  • Deeping Gate, Suttons Lane – 11-12/9/17 – TFMV – Property stolen from glove box of insecure vehicle parked on private driveway.
  • Elton, Woodcroft Road – 15/8/17 – 9/9/17 – Criminal Damage – Lock removed on gate to make false claim on land.
  • Elton, Main Road – 20/9/17 – TFMV – window smashed and items stolen from glove box.

 Glinton and Wittering Ward (crimes and incidents of note)

  • Ailsworth, Station Rd – 3/9/17 – TFMV – Door handle forced, window smashed, work tools stolen.
  • Ailsworth, Helpston Rd – 17/9/17 –TFMV – No sign of forced entry to vehicle. Items stolen wallet, watch and cash.
  • Ailsworth, Helpston Rd – 24/9/17 –TFMV – Window smashed, screwdriver left at scene.
  • Ailsworth, Peterborough Rd – 16-17/7/17 –
  • Castor, Mill Ln – 3/9/17 – TFMV – window smashed and items stolen from within.
  • Castor, Peterborough Rd – 11-12/9/17 – Burglary residential – rear door jemmied jewellery stolen.
  • Castor, Peterborough Rd – 11-12/9/17 – Burglary residential – Entry via insecure rear patio door.
  • Castor, Mill Ln – 17/9/17 – TFMV – window smashed, coat stolen from boot.
  • Castor, Mill Ln – 17/9/17 – TFMV – window smashed, clothing and camera stolen from boot.
  • Castor, Mill Ln 0 29/9/17 – TFMV – Smashed window, sat Nav, clothing and cash stolen.

  • Glinton, Lincoln Rd – 27/9/17 – Criminal Damage – wooden posts and metal poles damaged.
  • Milton Park, Ferry Drive – 13/9/17 – TFMV – Window smashed, door opened and handbag taken from foot well.
  • Milton Park, Milton Ferry Car Park – 29/9/17 – TFMV – window smashed, tools stolen.
  • Wansford, A1/A47 junction – 8/9/17 – TFMV – Diesel stolen from lorry parked at location.
  • Wansford, A1/A47 junction – 7-8/9/17 – TFMV – Diesel stolen from 2 tanks on lorry parked in layby at location.
  • Wansford, Old North Road – 27/9/17 – Burglary residential – Window smashed, jewellery stolen.
  • Upton, Langley Bush Rd – 7/9/17 – TFMV – Window smashed, items stolen from within.
  • Upton, Church Walk -7-11/9/17 – Criminal Damage – Padlock broken on field gates, tyre tracks all over the fields.
  • Upton, Church Walk – 22-23/9/17 – Criminal Damage – Gate lock damaged, actual gate damaged and crop damage due to vehicle riding across fields.
  • Wittering, Great North Road – 5-6/9/17 – Theft -. Portable generator and bowser stolen from side of road.
  • Wittering, Boxer Rd – 1/9/17 – Dangerous Dog – Postman injured by dog.

 Barnack Ward (crimes and incidents of note reported)

  • Ashton, Bainton Green Rd – 19/9/17 – TFMV – Window smashed, unknown if anything stolen.
  • Ashton, Bainton Green Rd – 18-19/9/17 – TFMV – Window smashed, unknown if anything stolen.
  • Bainton, Ufford Rd – 19/9/17 – Burglary residential –
  • Barnack, Hills and Hollow Car Park – TFMV – 27/9/17 – Coat and handbag stolen from boot. Insecure vehicle.
  • Pilsgate, Stamford Rd – 3/9/17 – Theft – Camera equipment stolen from a porta cabin and location.
  • Ufford, Walcot Rd – 6/9/17 – Burglary residential – Stables broken into overnight.
  • Ufford, Main St – 23-24/9/17 – TFMV – Tractor entered by smashing glass windows, diesel, grease gun and sun glasses stolen from inside cab.

Eye and Thorney Ward (crimes and incidents of note reported)

  • Eye, Hodney Rd – 9-10/9/17 – Criminal Damage – 50 trees cut down.
  • Eye, Fountains Pl – 11-12/9/17 – Criminal Damage- Damage caused to a vehicle parked on road.
  • Eye, Tintern Rise – 13/9/17 – Burglary residential – Door forced by offenders, when challenged have run off.
  • Eye, High Street – 16/9/17 – Burglary Business – entry via forcing window, disturbed and fled before gaining access.
  • Eye, High Street – 17/9/17 – TFMV – window smashed, suitcase, cards, cash, and documents stolen from within.
  • Thorney, English Drove – 2//17 – Burglary Business – Attempt. A vehicle was used to pull the gate to Greenkeepers yard.
  • Thorney, Whittlesey Rd – 5/9/17 – Burglary residential – UK offender has forced entry by ramming wooden gates. Nothing stolen.
  • Thorney, Whittlesey Rd – 5/9/17 – Burglary Business – Tools and generator taken from farm buildings.
  • Thorney, The Malting – 5/9/17 – Burglary Business – UK offender has rammed front gates, pressure washer stolen.
  • Thorney, Black Drove – 8/9/17 – Criminal Damage – Hare coursers have caused damage to freshly drilled rape seed by driving vehicles across field. Crops will now, not grow
  • Thorney, North Side – 19/9/17 – Burglary residential – UK persons have broken into house whilst occupants were out, cash, cards, electrical equipment and jewellery stolen.

Newborough, Borough Fen and Eye Green Ward (crimes and incidents of note reported)

  • Eye, Crowland Rd – 31/8-2917 – Burglary Business – Porta Cabin broke into and items stolen.
  • Eye, Crowland Rd – 29-30/9/17 – Criminal Damage – Damage caused to door of work premises.
  • Eye Green, Northam Close –24/9/17 – Criminal Damage – stolen thrown at window, causing damage.
  • Newborough, Guntons Rd – 19/9/17 – TFMV – 18 batteries and a quantity of diesel stolen from a number of vehicles at the location.
  • Newborough, Thorney Rd – 20-21-9-17 – Burglary business – UK offenders have broken lock on farm gate, entered farm buildings but believed nothing stolen.
  • Newborough, Guntons Rd – 22-24/9/17 – Criminal Damage – Container at Village Hall kicked and wilful damage caused.
  • Peakirk, St Pegas Rd – TFMV – 11-12/9/17 – UK entry but sunglasses, food and drink stolen from veh whilst parked on driveway.
